Tuesday Nights
Empowered: The Amazing Church of Jesus Christ by Big Dream Ministries - led by Dona Watson, Room 6-111, class begins at 6:30pm on August 18
The book of Acts is the extraordinary story of the Church—its birth, struggles, and growth. The flaming arrival of the Holy Spirit set the hearts of God’s people on fire to spread Jesus’ message across continents and cultures, bringing a new and unexpected unity to the body of Christ.
Empowered: The Amazing Church of Jesus Christ is a new 12-week Bible study through the book of Acts. Featuring unique video lessons from the homes of our teaching team of Pat Harley, Jennifer McClish, Kellye Rickman, Robin Rosebrough, Fay Runnion, and Rachel Yastro. Discover what it means to be a part of God’s story of the Church, empowered by the Spirit to carry hope and life to the ends of the earth.
This class studies at a slower pace and is finishing the study, but you can jump in at any point.
Precept: Ephesians - led by Nancy Nelson, ZOOM 6:30-8:15pm, class begins at 6:30 on September 8
Chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, targeted by grace, sons of God united in a single family, inheritors, holy, redeemed, forgiven, raised from the dead, and seated with Jesus Christ in the heavenlies! How can you not study Ephesians!? Before Paul even hints at how believers should live, he lays a rock-solid foundation: who we are in Christ! If you think you are just a cog in a machine, if you do not know your identity, then this study is for you. Praise God for what He planned in eternity past and is waiting to reveal to you now . . . through the study of His Word. Learn who and what you are in Christ, and you will want to walk God’s ways the rest of your life!
Forever for Our Good - A Study of the Book of Deuteronomy by Katie J McCoy - led by Steffany Engleman, 8 Sessions, Room 6-110, class begins at 6:30pm on September 15
What comes to mind when you think of the biblical laws of the Old Testament? Perhaps a list of rules that don't apply to our time and place? Or a section of Scripture you just try and power through, something mostly irrelevant since Jesus has come? The truth is these laws are hidden gems of grace that are for your benefit even today.
In this 8-session Bible study for women, author and theologian Katie J. McCoy walks through the book of Deuteronomy, an invitation to abundant life found through faith-filled devotion to the Lord alone. At the core of Deuteronomy is love. God sets His love on us, and as we learn to love Him with all our hearts, souls, and strength, we learn to love our neighbor as ourselves. This kind of love fulfills the entire Law, puts the character of God on display through our lives, and is forever for our good.
Precept – Judges (In and Out) - led by Jill Nay, 7 Sessions, Room 6-101, class begins at 6pm on October 6
Judges: Nothing has changed from the days of the Judges - people still do what is right in their own eyes. Absolutes are shoved aside, and the result is bondage to sin. Only God's truths and moral principles bring peace and freedom from bondage.
Wednesday Mornings
Precept: Philippians - led by Maureen Dobbins, 10 Sessions, Room 6-102, class begins 9:30am on September 16
How do I live the Christian life joyfully regardless of people or circumstances? What is the purpose of suffering and the Christian perspective on death? Do I have "the mind of Christ"? Discover true, deep-down joy in your life that the world cannot take away!
Have you considered joining a Precept Bible study? This would be a great study to join as it is singular book. Precept studies take approximately one hour of study five times a week.
The Names of God – A Study on Who God Is and Who He Calls Us to Be by multiple teachers - led by Meredith Archer and other small group leaders, 10 Sessions, Upstairs Building 6, class begins at 9:30am on September 16
From the opening chapters of Genesis through the final verses of Revelation, God is known by many names―names that reveal who He is, what He does, and how He relates to His children. He is El-Roi, “the God who sees me.” He is Jesus, “the Lord is salvation.” He is the Spirit, your Comforter and Counselor. And you? You have a name, too. You are His beloved child, a Christian, one who bears His name.

In this 8-session Bible study for women, teachers Kristi McLelland, Caroline Saunders, Blair Linne, Jennifer Rothschild, Kelly Minter, and Elizabeth Woodson will walk you through the pages of Scripture. Together, you’ll examine names for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and you’ll discover the impact each of God’s names has on your relationship with Him. Each name you encounter will inspire you to worship God for who He is and challenge you to consider how your life can be transformed considering His character.
Wednesday Evening
When You Pray - led by Cayla Sunday, 7 Sessions, Room 6-201, begins at 6:30 PM on August 26
Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.

In this 7-session study, join with six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.
