Easter Story.  Missions Conference held within hours of the resurrection.

The disciples gathered.  The Lord came to them.

--PEACE

For all who are in Christ, the long-standing tension between God and man is gone.

     Not circumstantial/material, financial, political.  SPIRITUAL

"Whom have I in heaven but You, and besides You, I desire nothing on earth.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."--Psalm 73:25-26

--PURPOSE

As the Father sent me, so I send you.

     Into the world

"Created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."--Ephesians 2:10

     Eternity will show it

--POWER

     He breathed out--v. 22

Illustration of the invisible power (like wind) that would come at Pentecost in the person of the Holy Spirit.

"You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you."--Acts 1:8

"Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God."--Romans 8:14

"For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?"--1 Corinthians 3:3

"How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"--Luke 11:13

--PARDON

"If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven."--v. 23

-------------------

So begins the most amazing, productive, resilient, hopeful, charitable, creative, compassionate organization the world has ever known!

"After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them, Jesus came. . .and stood in their midst."--v. 26

Meet together on the first day of the week. . .out into the world to make a difference.  Gather.  Go out. Back next Sunday.  Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
