Follow Along with the Message

God is always wise, always sovereign, always faithful, always just, always holy and always loving.

Our beings will change and our attributes will change. God, on the other hand, will stay the same forever”

Old Testament scholar Willem VanGemeren says, “In contrast to all created existence, the Lord remains the same."

  1. Amidst Any Change God is the Same

Olaf from the movie Frozen said, “Do you ever worry about the notion that nothing is permanent?”

God is not fickle in his feelings, nor does He experience mood swings.

God is absolutely reliable and completely consistent.

  1. Amidst All the Changes God is Steadfast

When we scream that something has changed or failed us and we feel alone, God comes to us and says, “I’m always here.”

J Rodman Williams wrote, “There is much need for realizing that in the midst of it all God abides unchanging, and that in Him and Him alone there is steadfastness and strength.”

Max Lucado has put it: “God loves you as you are but He loves you too much to let you stay that way.”

Alan Shepherd said when asked about what he was depending on when going into space, he said, “I’m depending upon the fact that God’s laws will not change.”
