Follow Along with the Message

From the time of the fall of mankind, God worked to redeem humanity to himself; this was cemented in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Luke 24 describes the reactions of the first people to discover Christ’s defeat of death from a borrowed tomb.

Easter is a time to…

  1.   His  .

The angels asked, “Remember how he told you …?” (v. 6), seemingly confused themselves.

After the angels deliver their message, reiterating Christ’s words of promise to them, we see in verse 8, “And they remembered his words.”

Easter is a time to…

2.   for His  .

Do we live our lives in preparation of his reentry, or do we simply live our lives only in remembrance, preparing to anoint Christ’s body in our own way?

Jesus didn’t rise from the dead only for the story to end; his death and resurrection are the start of our own story of faith. It is the dawn of a new day!
