Follow Along with the Message

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."--C. S. Lewis

It was the ending that NO ONE expected.

" 'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the Lord."--Isaiah 55:8

He gathered them together-- v. 4.

Spoke of the Holy Spirit and the Kingdom-- v. 5 and v. 3.

Very different vision of the future!

Martyr--witness-- v. 8

epairo--on, to lift (was lifted up)-- v. 9

analambano--to receive, to lift up unto yourself-- v. 11

"This Jesus. . .will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go."-- v. 11 (physically, bodily, gloriously, visibly, personally)

"Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."--Hebrews 7:25

" I can do it all by myself". . .ummm, not true.

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words."--1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

Is He gone?  No.
