Follow Along with the Message

First Peter was written to a group of believers who are either new to the faith or are being discipled in some of the basic matters of being a Christ follower.

Peter wants his readers/listeners to understand that God has set them apart for God’s great work.

Being set apart begins with…

1.    .

We need to spend more time focusing our thoughts and time on holiness.

The Expositor's Commentary reminds us that, “God is concerned not only with the believer’s status but also with his/her state, his/her actual condition.”

You are called to be holy, and your behavior should reflect his holiness and the fact that you have been set apart.

Pursuing holiness isn’t a sprint or a dash; it’s a long marathon with twists and turns. It’s about endurance, not speed.
