Follow Along with the Message

As believers, our confidence before God is the righteousness of Christ.

JUSTIFICATION—the act of being   “not guilty” by God and set right with him on   of Christ’s righteousness.

SANCTIFICATION—the   of becoming more holy—of   in Christlikeness and spiritual maturity.

Remaining Joyful in the Journey…

  1. REMEMBER   YOU ARE.

“Jesus Christ has made me His own…” (v.12c) (ESV)

“For I am confident of this very thing, that HE who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)

  1. RECOGNIZE THAT FORGIVENESS DOESN’T MEAN  .

We ALL have   to grow!

Sanctification is  .  We will never reach “sinless perfection” on this side of heaven.

  1. REFUSE TO BE   WITH PREVIOUS GROWTH OR PAST SUCCESS. (v.13)

For Christian believers, the prize is always in front of us.

  1. RUN DILIGENTLY TOWARDS YOUR   GOAL. (v.14)

“Upward Call” = Final Salvation

GLORIFICATION—The final benefit of Christ’s  . We will finally be made perfect—spiritually and physically—and will dwell in Christ’s presence for eternity.

Discipleship is a journey…and   is the goal!
