John Holcomb defines Good Friday as, “The Christian day to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary.”

Good Friday…

1.   Our  .

We will never understand the light of Easter until we come to terms with the darkness of Good Friday.

The darkness not only fell over all the land but it dwelled in the hearts and minds of the people.

Matthew 4:16, “The people who live in darkness have seen a great light, and for those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.”

Good Friday…

2.    His  .

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).

Chris Armstrong wrote, “Good Friday is truly good. Its sorrow is a godly sorrow.”
