In Matthew 23, Jesus compared the fake religious people with whitewashed tombs because they were nice looking on the outside but full of death on the inside. Their faith was inauthentic.

Whitewashed tomb followers are more unlikely of being a disciple of Jesus than Peter and his passionate preaching or someone who we think doesn’t fit the mold. 

Intentional disciples are apprentices of Jesus.
