    Follow Along with the Message

We love stories where people change for the better. They are heartwarming stories.

Peter describes the spiritual change of the gospel by saying, “Repent & be baptized.”

The results of the changes in Peter now…

    1.  Him to   a Message of  .

The outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost brought about a new reality for humanity and those who follow Jesus.

The fact that Peter is calling for Jews to repent and be baptized is, of course, not unprecedented or unheard of, because this is exactly what John the Baptist had done (Luke 3).

God has called every believer to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the gospel of repentance and live a life that reflects the kingdom of God.

If you want others to see and celebrate the change in you, then…

    2.   a   Profession through  .

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change.

If Christ is not our Lord and Savior, then no amount of water, holy or otherwise, can rescue us from the penalty of our sins.

Repent and be baptized was a message preached before Christ’s ministry began, and it is a message the church preaches still today.
