"Do not love the world nor the things in the world. . .For all that is in the world. . .is not from the Father, but is from the world.  The world is passing away, and also its lusts, but the one who does the will of God lives forever."--1 John 2:15-17

When God looks at the world, He does not see one group, He sees two.

Believers are different--maybe no where more apparent than in our attitude and experience of death.

DEATH IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE TALK ABOUT IT

"Now I lay me down to sleep.  I pray the Lord my soul to keep.  If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take."

DEATH IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE ARE MOTIVATED BY IT

"We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work."--John 9:4

DEATH IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE ARE RELIEVED BY IT

"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!  Yes, says the Spirit, so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them." --Revelation 14:13

DEATH IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE FIND HOPE IN IT

Departure--v. 6  Not the end of life, the beginning of a great adventure.

Crown of Righteousness--v. 8  Genuine and permanent success.

DEATH IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE WORSHIP THROUGH IT
