In the letter of 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul wrote to a church divided, worldly, and immature in the faith. Immersed in an indulgent, immoral culture, they struggled to separate themselves from the world around them. Paul urged them to remember the gospel and start acting like disciples of Jesus, and his rebukes and encouragement remain relevant for the church today.
