What does the Bible say about giving?
“Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 - As believers, we understand that our money and resources are not ours, but the Lord’s. Giving should not be a burden, but a joy that blesses you as the giver and others as the receiver. The Lord uses your financial gifts to reach others with the good news of His love and saving grace every day. We thank you for demonstrating God’s love to others in this way.
“But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving” 2 Corinthians 8:7 - God calls us to be generous in our giving which encourages fellow believers to grow and mature in their spiritual stewardship. We thank you again for your faithful gifts which support the ministries of the Lord abroad, nationally, and locally at HGBC and surrounding communities.
“…for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exhalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you;…” I Chronicles 29: 11-12 - Giving our financial resources, time, and talents in service to the Lord is an act of worship. Online giving is a safe, convenient way to honor the Lord with our tithes and gifts and demonstrate through regular contributions that we are faithful stewards of all He has provided.
You can click the link below to set up an online giving account either through an automatic draft from your checking account or with a credit/debit card of your choice. You may choose to make one time payments as it is convenient for you or to set up regular contribution amounts at intervals that suit your budget. When considering the option to use a credit card, please do so only if you are paying your amount due in full every month. Carrying a credit card balance can subject you to high interest rates and fees that work against your financial health.
